On August 21, at around 12:30 p.m., law enforcement responded to a Woodbridge residence, where they discovered that a 7-year-old girl had been repeatedly sexually assaulted by a family acquaintance that was residing in the same home, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Police investigation revealed that the incidents occurred sometime between June 1 and the date of the suspect's arrest, officials said.
The 7-year-old told an adult about the sexual assault and Santiago Siguenza, 64, was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, authorities reported.
Siguenza had a pending court date and was held without bond, police said.
